The top 10 salaries of the Canadian insurance industry

The top ten jobs in Canada’s health care industry are now the same as in the U.S., according to a new survey.

The survey of 1,000 senior executives from four large Canadian insurance companies found that the average salary of an insurance executive in 2016 was $103,912.

That is up 4 per cent from last year and is more than twice the average annual compensation of a senior corporate executive.

The average salary for the top 10 positions is also up 7 per cent since last year, according to the survey by Thomson Reuters Health.

“This increase in compensation is a direct result of the health care sector being more resilient than the rest of the economy,” said Jim Henson, president of Thomson Reuters.

The survey found that executives in the health insurance sector have seen their median compensation increase by 12 per cent in the past five years, which includes increases of 10 per cent for CEOs and 16 per cent each for senior managers. “

As the economy continues to recover, we expect the average compensation to be higher than it has been for some time.”
